Several of our communities including connectwithtc , southelmontecitygov , city_of_duarte , and cityofrosemead  are hosting community events to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country on this Memorial Day weekend. 

Other community members including several of your Temple Station deputies observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries and memorials. Some people wear a red poppy in remembrance of those fallen in war—a tradition that began with a World War I poem.
