In New York City, it’s almost a rite of passage to attend some type of Broadway show or musical. Yes, the ticket prices can be intimidating, but what if we told you there are actually a lot of ways to find seats to your favorite show that are within your budget? Before wasting your time bartering with people in Time Square, we’ve listed out a few resources you can turn to for your next (or your first) Broadway outing.

If you’re comfortable with last-minute plans, head to the TKTS Discount Book in Time Square where you can purchase same-day tickets for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows up to 50% off the original price. Before making your way to Broadway and 47th street, check the TKTS Live app to see what is actually available to purchase and at what cost. If you’re up for even more of a gamble (and aren’t too picky about what you’ll be seeing), try Broadway Roulette. For around $49-59, you can pick a show date and on the morning of your selected date you’ll get notified of the surprise show you got tickets for.
