I wanted to throw in the towel countless times. Just waiting for the pace to surge so I could sail it in. I just kept giving myself “one more chance” to hold on to the pace, hold on to the fight with my teammates surrounding me every lap. It was a huge break through for me not just on the clock but mentally to practice being “the witness not the possessor of my doubts as they arouse within my mind & body.⁣”
