OPENING TOMORROW! Peter Fetterman Gallery // peterfettermangallery // presents Roger A. Deakins : Byways, an inaugural exhibition of acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Roger A. Deakins showcasing photographs featured in Byways, Deakins’ book published by Damiani Publishers // damiani_books //, as well as new, never-before-seen works. In Deakins’ monograph, Byways, one finds a wide range of photography including images that document a vanished postwar Britain, a collection of photos that express his love of the seaside, and frames from around the world caught while traveling for his cinematic work. Throughout them all, his sense of irony shows clearly. Known widely for his film works, Deakins has been nominated 15 times for an Academy Award and won twice for the movies Blade Runner 2049 and 1917 as well as 16 nominations for top award of the American Society of Cinematographers, 10 nominations for the BAFTA award, and 11 nominations for the British Society of Cinematographers. The opening reception will include a book signing of Byways featuring the artist.⁠
