The tragedy that occurred on the set of Rust is horrific and should have never happened. Film crews should expect their safety to be a first priority. The fact that there were safety concerns on this film that were expressed and never addressed is inexcusable. No one should risk their safety just to work on a movie.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Although we did not know Halyna Hutchins personally, we were deeply affected by her death. We were shocked and it’s taken a long time to process. Our thoughts are with her family.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We also feel for the crew members who had to witness such a horrifying event. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We give a lot to the process of moviemaking and it is our right to be protected from senseless tragedies like this. Crew members are NOT expendable items in the business of filmmaking.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
