Recurring storms in Antarctica's Weddell Sea have ravaged the population of emperor penguins that live there, destroying the sea ice that penguins need in order to breed, according to a new study. Emperor penguins in the area have failed to raise chicks for the past three years. "It is impossible to say whether the changes in sea-ice conditions at Halley Bay are specifically related to climate change, but such a complete failure to breed successfully is unprecedented at this site,” said one author of the study. #cnnclimate #climatechange (📸: Wolfgang Kaehler/Lightrocket/Getty Images)
