Thoughts from Chef Tim: "This one means a lot to me. We're recreating a dish that has been a part of my family for decades... I can remember my Grandmother making this cake with wild blueberries we would pick on our land.  It's amazing how a dish can take you back in your mind, and flood you with such warm memories. I love how powerful food can be in this way, to take you back to a place in time... We've taken Grandma Hardiman's Blueberry Buckle and given it a few twists: first, we've made it Gluten Free!! This is not just a great Gluten Free Cake, it's a GREAT CAKE in general. We've added some maple sugar and dehydrated lemon to the crumble topping, and even though it's not exactly as Gram would have made it, I think she would be proud to see me serving it on our menu today, some 30 years after she last made it for us... it's the perfect vessel for this years incredible berries from blueberryhillfarmsandnursery" #blueberrybuckle #thetailorandthecook #downtownutica #keepitlocal
