For this week's story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Serafina & Christopher ✨⁣
⁣
"I met my husband Christopher while we were undergraduate students at Rutgers-Newark. We met in an Environmental Sciences class through a mutual friend. We were acquaintances who only shared pleasantries in class and around campus, but we never dated. Christopher later graduated in 2011, and I finished my bachelor's in 2012. As I continued my studies and pursued a Master's degree, Christopher decided to return to Rutgers for a second degree. After being out of school for a few years, we ran into each other in New York City. We exchanged contacts and became friends. The friendship blossomed because we both share a love for new adventures, the outdoors, Will Farrell (Shake and Bake), and we love the holiday season. Christopher started his supply chain management career while I worked at Rutgers University. We got engaged in Ruby Beach, located in Washington State, in the summer of 2018 (wearing our RU windbreakers!). We tied the knot in August 2019, and our mutual friend was one of the best men at our wedding. Today we enjoy reminiscing about our college days, while several of my high school and college friends recount how I used to jokingly predict that my future husband's name would be Christopher; how serendipitous!"⁣
