#tbt to 19 years ago today when underarmour’s first ad ran in espn The Magazine. All 12 employees agreed to delay their paychecks to cover the cost for a 1/2 page ad that featured UMD Terps football teammate Rasheed Simmons. $25k (upfront) was the cost - much bigger $# today - but got us through 2000 and better than raising money...biz lesson: sell what you got!!
