After hopping around 56 different hotels + stays (yes, I kept count), bumming at home and doing absolutely nothing this past week has felt like nothing but a luxury. As amazing as it is to see new places for the first time, having your own, comfortable space is equally as exciting. 

Although I knew that my wants were only temporary, towards the last few months of my Asia trip, all I really wanted was to be in my bed. So that’s exactly what I did. Ever since I got back, there’s been more days where I haven’t stepped foot outside of my house and just bummed around — eating, watching movies, cooking, cleaning, etc. And I shared the same feeling of excitement doing those things like I have when seeing places for the first time.

I used to think that in order to have ‘lived life’, everything had to be done extravagantly. But in reality, that isn’t the case and is almost unrealistic for most. Sometimes the greatest joys comes from the smallest things in life, like decorating your room and grabbing chipotle with a friend. But ultimately, do what makes you happy and do what you believe is right for you in that very moment 😌

Btw — I couldn’t stop smiling and running in circles the moment I got out of the subway 🚊😅 some things just never change.
