## Caption

It's been 3 years since I've been actively posting on social media. That means 3 years sharing my everyday life and travels — something that's become a habit at this point. Around the time I started posting my travels, I was also working a 9-5 job and had just gotten into blogging + photography. I was obsessed. So obsessed that I'd take day trips across the country to take photos of one sunrise + one sunset, and then redeye it back into the office. A lot of people ask how I travel so much and the simple answer is that I've made it a priority. You don't need a lot to start, just the desire to want it.

Earlier this year, I traveled to Cambodia twice because during my first time there, I was so burnt out from traveling Thailand that I didn't bother capturing any video. I didn't even touch my camera for almost a month. When I left Cambodia, I decided to go back again shortly after because I had made the commitment to start taking youtube more seriously and needed to capture all the footage I missed out on during my first stay.

During my second visit, I was not in a good mental place and I was convinced that my Asia trip was coming to an end. But through fear and commitment, I can't believe I hit 10,000 subscribers in two months. Never in a thousand years did I think I'd reach this number but I know that this is really only the beginning.

Although numbers aren't supposed to define you, they are valid metrics that show that what you're doing is or isn't working. And through it all, although content has been the wildest love/hate relationship these last 3 years, there's nothing I would do to change anything about it.
