Ever since I got out of college, the first thing I did when I started working corporate was signing up for a travel credit card. Realizing the number of benefits and finding ways to take advantage of the system almost seemed like a no brainer. Fast forward years later to racking up points and quitting my job, I'm still churning credit card points and sign up bonuses 💳

One of the most common questions I get asked is how I’m able to travel so much. Well, this is a huge part of it. There's no real secret,  but it does require time learning and keeping up with perks + benefits. I've been traveling across Southeast Asia for about 3 months and I still haven't paid a single dollar for flights or hotels (aside from hotel collaborations).

So, in my opinion, if you live in the US and travel often, the Amex Plat is one of the best travel credit cards to have in your wallet. Yes, the annual fee SEEMS ridiculous but if you use it correctly, you'll easily be able to cancel out the fee. But if you don’t have the flexibility of traveling often, maybe you want to consider other cc options Amex offers, like the Amex Gold or Blue Cash.
