🔥Introducing 2020 Wildland Fire Digital Storytelling Micro-Grant Winner Iain McMillan (iain.gm)!🔥

Iain was selected in the Photography category and is one of our Canadian winners.

ABOUT IAIN: I am a Smokejumper in the Parattack program with the Omineca Smokejumpers based in Mackenzie, BC.

IAIN'S PROJECT VISION: My goal is to show the experience of being a Smokejumper through as realistic of a lens as possible. I will produce a photo series of 15-20 photos and I'll post the photo series to my website as well as to my instagram throughout the fire season. In addition, I will add to the textiles section of my website and document more of the projects that are integral to Smokejumping.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT WILDLAND FIRE: My favourite thing about Wildfire Fighting is the diversity that we experience in our job. One day we can be sewing new gear, the next flying across the province, and the next on a fire falling trees and digging line.
