Fatimah Nyeema Warner, also known as Noname is an American rapper, poet, record producer and activist from Bronzeville, Chicago. She began performing and rapping slam poetry, until she appeared on Chance the Rapper's track "Lost"from his mixtape Acid Rap. Noname recently began nonamereads encouraging the support of locally owned bookstores, using her website as a directory. Noname's bookclub focuses on anticapitalism practices, while discussing black liberation and growth of community. Noname's break from music was explained by her wanting focus on community, politics, and the experience of performing for predominately white audiences. She has been teasing a new release of music, most recently releasing Song33, and a feature on Anderson Paak's “Lockdown Remix” #noname #nonamereads
