RVA Community Makers 2023 is almost here, and you’re invited to the unveiling celebration! 🎉
Check out this preview introducing our 2023 honorees—Janine Bell, Gary Flowers, and Jackson Ward Collective.

Join us on Thu, Feb 16, at 6 pm in Cochrane Atrium as we unveil the fifth anniversary edition of our annual community-activated art project. This year, the project’s artistic focus is video storytelling, inspired by VMFA’s exhibition “IsaacJulien: Lessons of the Hour—Frederick Douglass.” Richmond videographer and artist Myles Brown has teamed up with VMFA to create a video interview showcase highlighting the impact made by our 2023 honorees. After the unveiling, the video installation will be on view in Cochrane Atrium through Mar 17.
