In recognition of #WorldWildlifeDay, we’re sharing pictures of some of the wildlife you can see when visiting our Museum! Most of the wildlife is found in our Maritime Hammock.

A Maritime Hammock is a stabilized sand dune, which stems from the ocean receding, and over the years, vegetation grew on ours. When exploring the Maritime Hammock, you’ll notice that all of the tree roots are on the surface because underneath them is an excess amount of sand where they can’t get nourishment.
