Fun facts about bees [& me]:

Well first off. I adore bees & their fuzzy butts.

🐝 I originally intended to name THS - ‘Om Sweet Om’ as an ode to my love of bees. In fact it’s tattooed on me w a bee hive. This tattoo was inspired by a dear teacher as a reminder to “be like the bee and seek out the sweet nectars of life”. #bhaktiyoga

🐝My favorite pranayama practice is bee breath.  it connects me with my higher self & guides, quiets my mind and settles my nervous system. #bzzzz

🐝 did you know Honey can become toxic if added to a hot liquid/tea?  #ayurveda

🐝 the symbolism of bees are vast but personally I connect with their healing nectars of abundance, community, intuition & perseverance. Not to mention ‘Mindful Service’ is their love language, & I feel that! People - by way of the bee - are often protectors & Most often are protecting the underdog. Well that just about sums up my whole life, b!

🐝 Aerodynamically bees shouldn’t be able to fly but you know what? THEY DO! Because bees are like “fuck what you heard - I’m gonna do what I want” 🤣 and they simply do the damn thing - and so can you!! I admire & live by that. 🙌🏽 

🐝A bees honeycomb represents the heart chakra. I mean my heart space couldn’t love that any more. 💚

🐝 Bees have ancient roots in shamanism. And so does drumming. 

🐝🐝 so, bees are pretty F’n dope wouldn’t you say ?🐝🐝

So here is my heart hive inspired drum ! 🤍✨🐝🙌🏽
Most often my Drum makes her appearance, offering a grounding backdrop to sacred songs/mantra or hypnotizing Nidra. It’s a powerful sound healing element that we all can explore. You don’t have to have musical skills or shamanic ties. Just you and your heart beat.
