Starting with some of our local businesses, I recognized adornsalonandspa , led by owners Amanda and Stacy. They also have since offered their services the last two Holiday seasons to seniors in Prospect, as a pay-what-you-can, with funds going directly to the local food bank. A prime example of a business connected to the community!

I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:

Whereas Amanda Merritt and Stacy Landry have fulfilled their childhood dream of opening a salon together, Adorn Salon & Spa, located at 1308 St. Margaret's Bay Road in Beechville; and

Whereas as young children Stacy and Amanda enjoyed doing each other's hair and makeup and as they became older they both decided to pursue careers in the industry; and

Whereas they have been working together since graduation and are so proud to have made the leap to opening their business together with their talented team, offering a wide range of hair and aesthetic services including hair extensions, hair colour, waxing, nails, spray tans and formal hair and makeup, their dreams have become their reality;

Therefore be it resolved that this House of Assembly join me in congratulating Amanda and Stacy on their successful business and wish them well in their future endeavours.
