Happy to be here for the opening of Dalhousie's newly renovated Biomass Plant. The first university in North America to upgrade a thermal plant with a system that will create one megawatt of electricity using biomass fuel. 
The new #DalhousieU Biomass Co-Generation District Energy system uses 80% local sawmill residue and 20% local yard waste, clean wood waste and research fuels to create electricity.
