Welcome to Heart Month! At Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, we have been providing an alternative approach for the repair of a wide variety of congenital heart defects in infants and children. This approach is done through a small incision under the right arm, rather than through the chest. This is becoming our new gold standard approach for a wide variety of heart defects, repairs, and more. Less pain, less scarring, and faster recovery times for our smallest patients.
