What are the benefits of breastfeeding? According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), breastfeeding is good for both mom and baby. Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, celebrated #WorldBreastfeedingWeek2022 by sharing information and distributing gift bags to new moms. The Lactation Team, which consists of five board-certified lactation consultants, is the largest in Rockland County and surrounding area.

Our lactation consultants provide breastfeeding education, support and guidance, which includes free virtual classes, including prepared childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care.
