“Why Bench Nationals?

It seems silly, traveling across the US for one lift.

But the bench press has always been my favorite.

As a former wrestler, it was the one that came most naturally.

It’s also the only lift I’ve ever held an American record in.

What I appreciate most though is the nuance behind it.

Being a technical lifter, the bench is the lift that responds best to technical nuancing, particularly equipped.

It’s hard to hulk your way through a heavy bench.

As such, it’s the lift I can’t get too hyped for.

Instead, I focus on executing & enjoying the moment.

Because the best bench days come together when I’m in my element having fun.

Looking forward to a fun time usapowerlifting bench nationals where the real question is, how much ya bench?”
