As tensions mounted on election eve, umcrs and counter demonstrators met on opposite sides of UM’s U Statue at the Rock Plaza Monday, Nov. 2. 

UMCR, with permission from univmiami administration, arrived before sunrise to set up for a pro-Trump demonstration that included 50+ signs and a table decorated with #MAGA and #bluelivesmatter paraphernalia. Demonstrators, representing #blacklivesmatter, #lgbtqrights and other social justice initiatives arrived soon after.
