#HallOfFameFriday: Austin Groves

The second and final member of the 2018 HOF class is Austin Groves, a 2011 graduate who starred on the baseball team for four seasons.

During his time with the Panthers, Groves became the program’s all-time hits leader with 177, his 53 hits in 2009 were the single-season record at the time, and his career batting average of .421 is one of the best in program history.

Other notable achievements from his career include:

-ECAC All-Star
-ABCA All-Region
-All-Skyline Conference
-Team Captain 
-And a .446 career hitter against conference foes

With his nomination, Austin became the first baseball player inducted into the Purchase College Hall of Fame.
