During the 70s, the Jacksons were a hit making machine for Motown. Their funky, soul-pop sound marked a departure from the typical boy bands and girl groups of the previous decade, launching their own ““bubblegum soul” sound—which combined influences from vocal groups, contemporary soul and R&B stars, and classic Motown artists—was enormously successful.”
