Throughout the pandemic, our nurses responded to the needs of patients everywhere, putting in extra hours and extra effort for more than a year.

One team that worked especially hard: the 12 flight nurses and 5 ground specialty nurses of MedSTAR Transport. The group ramped up a new Advanced Life Support program as the pandemic started, enabling them to meet critical transport needs for patients who needed higher levels of care.

The team transported more than 925 #COVID19 patients in the first year, including 241 by air and 684 by ground. This is believed to be one of the highest number of flights for COVID patients in the U.S.
