Did you know that men are more likely to have high blood pressure than women, especially among men of African American and Hispanic descent? #NationalMensHealthWeek

Nearly half of all people with diagnosed high blood pressure continue to live with it unmanaged. This July, our Y is offering a Blood Pressure Self Monitoring Program, open to the community and our members. This program offers awareness and creates access to information as well as help and guidance towards management.

The program is $10 per 4 months for participants who already have a blood pressure cuff, $40 for those who will be given one. As with all our programs at the Y financial assistance will be available to help cover costs, because we believe no one in our community should be turned away due to inability to pay.

For questions about the program or enrollment please contact Brittany Tripp at btripp@valpoymca.org or at 219.463.4185 x350

(This program is available to all genders, 18+ years old)
