Some of you may know Andrea Myklebust and the work she has done as weaver, spinner, teacher and friend. Some of you may know that she is facing a new challenge. Her son Devin, an experienced solo trekker, was found just after Christmas in a remote campground in Northern California. A 5 foot diameter Douglas Fir had fallen on the car where he was sleeping and pinned him in the back seat. Dozens of first responders and volunteers got him out 15 hours later. A Coast Guard helicopter transported him to Eureka hospital where he underwent several surgical procedures. Andrea dropped everything, and after 24+ hours of arduous travel, she arrived in CA. As of Saturday, the whole family will be heading to the Bay area where there is a micro-vascular specialist at a hospital there. For more about the accident:

There are a host of unforeseen expenses to be dealt with. She has asked a few friends to help with selling her wares. Items may be purchased through the website or in person at the store in Danby, VT.

All proceeds from the sale of MOUNTAIN HEART goods are going directly to Andrea. There is no markup.

If you live near the store in Danby, you can retrieve your purchase in person during stor hours or by appointment.
