Alumni Spotlight: Marissa Siero '20 will be completing her PhD in Applied Health Science and Community Health this summer. At the beginning of her time at #ILLINOIS, she worked as a Building Supervisor for the Illini Union. This multifaceted position allowed her to hone her skills in problem-solving and event management. One of her favorite memories #AtTheUnion was during a blizzard, where she saw the Union come together by serving food, cookies, coffee, and free hotel rooms to stranded students. Now working as the Corporate Engagement and Programs Manager at the Magelli Office of Experiential Learning at Gies College of Business, her impressive work history includes her start-up company, Intelliwheels, which created a gear-shifting product for wheelchairs that was sold in 30 countries. She credits her work at the Union for giving her a foundation and financial stability to pursue her passions and make quite the mark on the C-U and #ILLNOIS community.
