This is BY FAR my favorite hike I’ve done in Bryce Canyon National Park! Not only is it much quieter than the other trails, but the scenery is INSANE. It combines sections of wandering through the hoodoos (a classic trait of any Bryce hike) with sections with big open vistas and beautiful rolling hills. This hike has it all! Here’s everything you need to know about this hike for your next trip to Bryce:

Name: Fairyland Loop Trail
Distance: 8 miles (loop)
Elevation: Park maps says 1900ft vertical gain (my watch tracked 1650ft) 

This loop can be hiked in either direction and has multiple options for starting/ending spots. We were camping in the North Campground and walked straight from camp to save any stress around trying to find parking. 

There isn’t a ton of shade on this hike so be prepared with proper sun protection and plenty of water. We went in October and temps were perfect but if you travel here over the summer months expect it to be hot and consider an early morning start to beat the heat. 

There were multiple times on this hike when the scenery was so unique that we felt like we were on another planet! Definitely add this hike to your list!!
