#ad As crazy as it sounds, I feel like I’ve had to learn to give myself permission to be my most wild, true, and untamed self… When columbia1938 asked me to share a story about the women in my life who inspire me most this International Women’s Day, my mind immediately went to the women in my life who have not only inspired, but also encouraged me to be bold and brave and fearlessly myself... or maybe courageously myself would be a better way to put that. Often times with vulnerability fear is inevitable but you have to muster enough courage to do it anyway.

I think of my amazing girlfriends who text me words of encouragement when they know I’ve had a tough day or spend hours on the phone with working through the challenges that have come our way… I think of my mom and her incredible ability to rise up with not only strength but also joy in the face of the many challenges she’s endured, and I think of all the incredible authors and creators whose work and commitment to their own craft has inspired me to be unrelenting in my own pursuits.
