I’m going to be honest, I’m personally not a big fan of giving gifts just for the sake of giving gifts. What I mean by that is, although I am flattered by the thought, I’d rather someone just send me a nice card or even a thoughtful text message over a gift that I will never use. Maybe it’s my Capricorn nature, but I am an extremely practical human, sometimes to a fault. You can ask my best friend, who one year got me my favorite brand of shampoo and conditioner as a gift and it literally made me well up with tears because I knew she really gets me hahaha

I’ve had a lot of you messaging me for gift ideas for this holiday season and, because of my practical nature, I’ve had to give it a lot of thought. While I know shampoo and conditioner isn’t going to be a satisfying gift to give OR receive for most people, I definitely want to share ideas that your recipients will not only love but also really use (and hopefully for a long time to come!). I also think it’s important, now more than ever, to support amazing small businesses.

If you have been following me for a while you’ve heard me talk about stio before. In fact, over the last 3 years, you’ve probably heard me mention their name quite a bit. stio is based in Jackson, WY, and makes some of my favorite gear for mountain living.
