If you’ve been following my stories this week then you know I participated in the #blacktothetrails5k hosted by HBCUsoutside. HBCUs Outside is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to diversifying the outdoors and this virtual 5k walk/run/adaptive travel is to help raise money for their mission/programs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since this is a virtual event you can still register to run but the last day to register and submit your times is tomorrow, Sept 27th. My dear friends over at backcountry have announced that they will match entrance fees and additional donations to this event up to $5,000 so let’s help them max out their donation!!

To register for the race, click the link in my bio and either create your own team or join me and backcountry on team “Backcountry Runners and Hikers”. It would be my honor to run with you (virtually) in solidarity for such a great cause! I’m proud to be a backcountry partner and to support HBCUsoutside , an organization dedicated to creating the kind of future I want to be a part of.
