Tabor and I have recently gotten into this new fad called “jogging”. I think its pronounced “yogging” with a soft “J”. Anyways, apparently all you do is run for an extended period of time. It’s supposed to be WILD! Haha but in all seriousness, the way I move my body has changed a bit in the last month and all this time at home has gotten me back into activities that I haven’t done in years- like running.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While Tabor might enjoy it more than I do (see her face in this photo), it has actually been really fun exploring my backyard in this way. Normally I’m hoping in my car and headed up on more technical trails/adventures, but I’ve been really enjoying checking out the mellower trails and bike paths that I can access right out my front door.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m no longer fighting this expectation to stay home. In fact, I’m embracing it. At this moment I know I have so much to be grateful for and I am proud to do my part to stop the spread.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are like me and embracing this time at home by running, I’ll put the links to all my favorite running gear in my stories. Nearly everything I’m wearing in this photo is on sale right now on backcountry but if there’s anything that’s not I happy to pass along a 15% discount with the code ARIELLE15 (some exclusions apply).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve always been a proud backcountry supporter but something I love is that this month backcountry launched a mask donation campaign. They have already donated over 9,000 masks to the NYC Department of Homeless Services and are raising money to be used towards producing more masks for the homeless and for frontline workers from the city to the mountains. A $5 donation = 1.5 masks and donations can be made directly through their website. I just made a $20 donation myself- who’s with me?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve said it before but I will say it again, even in isolation we are all in this together! Sending you massive amounts of love and strength my friends! #findyourbackcountry
