2019 has been my biggest travel year to date. Between teaching at yoga festivals/trainings, work trips for either of my businesses, and a few personal trips I had four separate international trips and literally too many domestic flights to even count.  It seemed like every month I was away more than I was home. While I am super grateful for all the new experiences I had and all the amazing people I met along the way my heart is definitely craving some Colorado time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the month of January, I plan to stay rooted here in my home state. While I plan to be home on the weekdays, pretty much every weekend in January I have something fun planned: taking a yoga workshop with my teacher, doing my Wilderness First Aid cert, speaking at a regional event for my health business which will take me to Denver, Boulder and Steamboat Springs… all within a four-hour drive of my home in Aspen!

I feel like I’ve got my travel kit pretty much dialed these days. My two go-to bags are the backcountry All Around 60L Duffel and the 27L Daypack. The duffel is a new addition to my travel kit and it’s perfect for a long weekend trip in the winter because it has plenty of space for all the layers I need for Colorado winter weather/adventures. It’s also super durable so it does well being constantly thrown around. The backcountry Daypack has been my travel backpack of choice since I got it in the spring because it seems to work perfectly whether it’s carrying my laptop and technology on the plane OR my camelback, layers, and snack on the trail.

I think sometimes we over glorify big trips where we have to fly far away and forget that hopping in the car for a short adventure can be just as magical and exciting. If you need to re-up on any of your travel gear feel free to use the code “ARIELLE15” for 15% off *some exclusions apply*

p.s. since I know you are going to ask, the fleece I’m wearing is called the backcountry Sherpa Fleece Jacket and I’m totally obsessed. #findyourbackcountry #backcountrypartner
