With the largest and most comprehensive collection of art in Central Texas, blantonmuseum is the primary art collection for the city of Austin and is a major resource for the community.
 
The Blanton hosts a year-round schedule of traveling exhibitions, and the museum’s permanent collection of more than 21,000 works is recognized for its European paintings, an encyclopedic collection of prints and drawings, and modern and contemporary American and Latin American art.
 
blantonmuseum is open Tuesday through Friday & Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and admission is free every Tuesday.
 
Admission is free during other normal hours for UT students, faculty and staff (with UT ID), children 5 and under and K-12 teachers with a valid ID (n/a during special events). As a Blue Star museum, blantonmuseum also offers free admission to active-duty military personnel and family members from Armed Forces Day to Labor Day. Otherwise, admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (65+) and $8 for college ID holders.
 
Located at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Congress Avenue, the museum is across the street from the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and is adjacent to downtown Austin.
