Meet Tite Niyonizigiye!! Tite and his family are from Central Africa. The first interpreter training that Tite participated in was Bridging the Gap (BTG) that was hosted by KITA at Global Lex. In fact, he and his wife took the course together, and they considered a special opportunity to be able to take it together. BTG helped Tite learn basic medical interpreting skills and important knowledge about the medical field. When he took BTG, Tite received a scholarship that he was incredibly grateful for because the certification has given him lots of opportunities to care for his family. We are very happy to see how Tite has grown professionally and how he has been impacted personally by being able to help his community. By offering programs like the Core Medical Interpreter Training that KITA offers now, we know that we can help bilingual Kentuckians grow personally and professionally as well as help them be able to give back to their communities by becoming trained, certified interpreters. #KITASupport
