This week’s #MeetAnEditorMonday is our Managing Editor Amanda Perelli. Amanda is a senior journalism major from Port Jefferson, NY and has been a member of the editorial board since her sophomore year. Her main responsibilities as Managing Editor are editing articles, helping editors, writing breaking news stories and, perhaps her favorite, working with new writers. Amanda has learned both leadership and journalism skills that she has used to excel outside of the classroom, and she believes that anyone seeking a career in communications could benefit from joining The Chronicle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"I love working with new writers and helping them grow. The Chronicle has helped me get two internships, in magazine writing and at a newspaper and has helped me get my current job writing about alumni for [Quinnipiac]. I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career if it wasn’t for what I learned during my time on The Chronicle."
