Another week, another #MeetAnEditorMonday! Meet Madison, our Creative Director. Madison is a senior Film, Television and Media major from Yonkers, New York and has been a member of the editorial board since her first semester at Quinnipiac. Since joining, Madison has spent time leading both the Arts & Life and Design sections as section editor. Madison has used the skills she has gained from The Chronicle to earn internships in both multimedia marketing and film production and marketing. Madison believes that some of the most important lessons she’s learned at QU have been from her fellow editorial board members and she urges underclassmen to take full advantage of the opportunities that student media presents to them.

“There is nothing like student media. This is the one time in a communications student’s life where mistakes are not graded or judged and they can dictate how they work, learn and grow together. I am not the same person I was when I joined the editorial board; Now, I have organizational, leadership and professional skills that I would have never learned in a classroom setting. The Chronicle taught me to lead a team of my peers in a productive way and to balance my academics, jobs, other campus involvement and personal life in a responsible way. I wouldn’t be half as prepared to enter the communications field as I am today if it wasn’t for The Chronicle, and I hope younger students take advantage of this incredibly beneficial experience for years to come."
