Flashback Friday! How much fun would it be if there were an actual Cherry Bombe Bake Shop? For one glorious Saturday, that was a reality! At this year’s Jubilee, guests could swing by the Cherry Bombe Bake Shop and pick up some collab treats from their favorite bakers. ⁠

Our shop partners were drinkdona, the Brooklyn-based tea & concentrate brand whose products can be used in everything from baked goods to cocktails and mocktails, and oishii.berry, the New Jersey-based vertical farm utilizing solar energy to produce special strawberries and tomatoes. ⁠

🌸Abi Balingit (theduskykitchen), author of “Mayumu: Filipino American Desserts Remixed,” made a mint sponge cake with matcha Swiss meringue buttercream using Dona’s Kyoto Matcha, pandan jelly flowers, and roasted sesame seeds. 🍓 Tanya Bush (will.this.make.me.happy) of cake_zine and eggrestaurant baked a strawberry shortcake with mint-infused cream and berry compote, using Oishii’s vertically grown Koyo Berries.⁠
