We are celebrating our 40th summer of granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses across Colorado. Join us as we reflect on the lives that have been transformed over the past 4 decades and as we work to bring the hope of a wish to every eligible child! 
 
Wish kid Adam had his wish granted in 2003. He wished to have mountain bikes for him and his brother so they could enjoy the sport together! 
 
“The most impactful part of my wish experience was the distraction of hope. Make-A-Wish gave me a long-term goal to fight for, something to look forward to beyond the unknown of tomorrow. My wish filled my mind and heart with positivity and hope. It completely transformed my attitude and gave me a sense of purpose to work towards.  Instead of dwelling on my illness or harboring negative thoughts, I became a happy kid throughout my cancer experience. As a result, I was also healthier. Having a goal to work towards made me more willing to cooperate with doctors and follow directions more carefully. I was more invested in maintaining a healthier diet and taking better care of myself. When I had a dream and hope to fight for, the journey became a lot easier. My wish gave me strength to survive.”
