****Important Information regarding City of San Jose Flood Evacuations**** If you are an SJSU student impacted by the flood evacuations and are experiencing economic or financial hardship please click on the “Request for Assistance Form” or go to the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office between 8:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Monday-Thursday or 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays.

In addition, please visit the City of San Jose website (http://sanjoseca.gov/index.aspx?NID=4789) to gain further information concerning resources being provided by the City of San Jose.

Evacuation Centers - Now Open 
The evacuation centers offer a location for residents to connect with family and friends in a safe, dry place. They are not intended as overnight shelters, but are drop-in centers, open 24/7. Water and snacks are available. 
Mayfair Community Center – 2039 Kammerer Ave 95116 
Shirakawa Community Center – 2072 Lucretia Ave 95122 
Overnight Shelters (Red Cross) - Now Open 
The overnight shelters are operated by the Red Cross and the San Jose Department of Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services. 
These shelters cannot accept pets, but residents can take their pets to the San Jose Animal Shelter (2750 Monterey Road, San Jose, www.sanjoseanimals.com) for safekeeping.
