As part of a long-term strategic initiative called Granby Ranch Rising, the ownership group has invested nearly $4 million in improving the overall skiing and snowboarding experience. This means more skiing on the entire mountain, higher quality surfaces, and most of all these improvements mean better skiing for everyone—from little ones and first-timers to the best in the world.

An important part of the investment has been on the West Mountain, including the development of a world-class training and competition venue for alpine racers and mogul skiers. In conjunction with these improvements to the West Mountain, Granby Ranch has been selected to host:
- The worldproskitour December 18th and 19th, joining the most respected mountain resorts in the world including Aspen, Steamboat, and Taos in hosting this prestigious event.
- The ussnowboardteam and usskiteam moguls squad as they train for the Beijing Winter Olympics right here in Granby Ranch. It’s with great pride we welcome these competitors as they train to compete on behalf of our great country.

Granby Ranch Rising is about improving all aspects of the mountain for all skiers. The investments in the West Mountain allow us to host the best skiers in the world, but the true vision and real focus of these investments are on the next generation of skiers. In fact, the most important people we host this winter are the young members of our community who just might be inspired by watching the best in the world train and compete here. And they just might be dreaming about competing in the 2038 Winter Olympics.
