This place has such a special kind of magic. Watching the seasons transform the landscape from one to the next is incredible, breathtaking and well, to overuse a term, magical. When the first flake of snow falls in early fall, we all watch from our vantage points anxiously awaiting the flakes to cover the ground - and then for the inches to turn into feet... and for the feet to turn into running lifts, endless cups of hot cocoa and snowboards piled at our doorways. Seeing our guests on the slopes making so many memories is the culmination of all the watching and waiting.  Then comes the melt - an event we watch with the same anticipation as the snowfall, subtracting feet down to inches, and the inches into the sound of the streams running downhill. The lodge is void of people, eerily quiet, and outside, Mother Nature is working equally as quietly, doing her time honored work... the birth of our seasons.  We look out each day watching for new grass covering the base, watch as the fences return, and the patio transforms into a summer gathering place. Like little children, we take note of the differences every day - and how close we are to another beginning.  And, like all cycles, we’ll be ready, just as anxiously again this fall to watch the snow take the reigns from summer.  For now, we cant wait to fill the trails with families, bikes, music and all the things we honor about our summer season. So.
