"Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie and I’ve been cycling for about 7 years. I’ve gone from fixed-gears to touring to now mostly road cycling, but gradually giving in to the gravel craze that seems to be taking the cycling scene by storm. I'm very much looking forward to testing the waters at the #FoCoFondo training ride and sharing the trail with other women and femmes!⁠

I am the founder and co-leader of the Denver chapter of #BlackGirlsDoBike (bgdbdenver). Our mission is to promote cycling among our community of Black women and women, femmes, and girls of color in Colorado. We share resources and opportunities, lead monthly rides, and facilitate events, workshops, and clinics for our members. After touring the #ACATransAm in 2016, I've been personally committed to doing what's within my reach to make cycling more inclusive, accessible, and community-oriented. I also try to leverage the platforms I'm given to help contextualize cycling within a broader framework of social and racial justice and to advocate for the use of bicycles as vehicles for protest and liberation. Eager to meet, learn from, and crush some gravel with other community leaders next month!"⁠
