Next fall, senior Emmy Penders will attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in advertising. Penders chose UT because it’s always been a dream school for her.

She grew up surrounded by family members who went to UT, so for her, it’s always been her destination school.

“I decided to major in advertising because it combines creativity with strategic thinking, allowing me to create messages that resonate with everyone,” Penders said.

Penders said she is excited about “meeting new people and getting to experience Austin from a new perspective,” she said.
While she is excited for her next chapter, Penders said she is definitely going to miss McCallum.

“I’m going to miss seeing all of my friends and being around people I’ve grown up with since elementary school,” Penders said.
