After Mr. Jimenez's class completed the muscular system unit, the anatomy and physiology students were able to put their knowledge about muscle actions, anatomical movement terms, and names of muscles to work in a simulated occupational therapist motor skills assessment! 

Gross motor skills involve using larger muscles of the arms, legs, and torso to move the body. Fine motor skills involve the use of smaller muscles in the hands and wrist to manipulate items and accomplish tasks. Both types of motor skills involve coordination between the brain and the muscles! Wow! What a great lesson!
