Why Choose Palma?  Palma is committed to creating community. Featured here are the owners of Bell’s Book, an historic landmark, in Palo Alto open since 1935.  Mia Mirassou told them about Palma’s Exercises in Empathy Literacy Program inside Soledad Prison.  Having a huge heart for men making amends, they agreed to sponsor Palma by donating hundreds of Steinbeck’s novels for students and inmates to read.  In this photo the owners are holding up some inmate art and a thank you poster from Palma that Mia brought to them. Graciously, they featured this art and poster in their front window for years!
