Cat Cogliandro (they/she) born and raised in Houston, Texas, received her BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase. 
Cat is currently based in New York City, where they guest teach classes at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance, and travels to Los Angeles often where they teach at studios such as Movement Lifestyle and Millennium Dance Complex. You can find her on the road teaching for Celebrity Dance Convention, Heat Dance Convention, Embody Dance Conference,  and has also taught for Hussian College (formerly Relativity School), The Joffrey West Summer Intensive, The Los Angeles Dance Festival, and The Pulse on Tour Teacher Workshop. She continues to travel nationally and internationally to "help people find a better understanding of themselves through dance" and has just teamed up with clinical psychologist, Dr. Christina Donaldson, to create a dance + self-esteem dance workshop called Soul Meets Body, and is also the co-creator, in collaboration with Gabriel Braga and Mariana Feitosa, of SoulSync, a self-love dance workshop that takes place in Brazil. She also co-runs The Dance Safe, an organization that advocates for survivors of abuse in dance, with heavy focus on education, healing, and accountability. Cat will be attending The University of Arizona in the fall of 2021 to pursue her Masters in Choreography.
Mx. Cogliandro has a passion for art and expression. For freedom and love! For living an unapologetic life of happiness. As she navigates though her own wild adventures of triumph and failure, she hopes to inspire others to do the same (especially the youth) and to do so fearlessly. Cat is a passionate educator, activist, and advocate for creating safer, more inclusive dance spaces. Her dance company, CATASTROPHE!, also aims to promote the power (and necessity) of self-love and self-worth. They placed second runner up at 2015 Capezio ACE Awards and have been seen performing in shows in Los Angeles, New York, Brazil, and Korea.
