What is a "date" anyway??

It’s an opportunity for two people to assess the other’s suitability as a prospective partner for themselves. In order for that to work, it needs to be a two-sided experience.

It may be easy to talk about yourself and your experiences since that’s what you know, but here are some ways to engage more effectively with your date: 

💭 Ask open-ended questions

Starting with an open-ended question allows your date to answer in detail, which will give you a better sense of their personality and give you a chance to build off of what they are saying. Make it clear that you're invested in their responses!

🗓  Listen and Follow Up 

If they mention an upcoming event they're attending, a promotion they are receiving, or something else in the future they're excited about, plan to follow up. This can be as simple as texting them afterwards and asking how it was. It shows that you really heard them and that you care about the things they're interested in.

✌Be Aware Of Your Body Language 

The way you hold your body can say more than your words. On an in person date, make sure your body language indicates that you're interested in the conversation – face them and drop any distractions, especially your phone.
